Glass Posse 12 Days of Christmas: Day 4

Tonight we had our Christmas party over at the church. It was a little bit thrown together because no one had planned one, so a few weeks ago my husband and a few of the ladies in the congregation (we call it a ward), got together and decided on a potluck party and service project.

The service project was the part that my husband was in charge of. He found an organization called The Children's Village, that collects wrapped (and labeled) toys for children. together with the organization, they made a goal that our ward could donate 40 toys. He sent a sign up sheet around, and got 60 toy commitments. We were glad, because realistically, we figured only about 40 would show up. By the end of the night we had at least 100 gifts wrapped and ready to go. The back of our envoy is completely packed, so that you cannot see when you drive.

Good job everyone, and especially my DH for letting the Holiday Spirit bite him, and getting us to serve!
