Third Person Thursday

Ever since moving to her new neighborhood, she has noticed "TO SET" signs quite often.

She always wished that she had the time to follow the signs and sneak a peek of who and what is being shot. Today as she and the girls made their way to the playground they saw the trailers lined up and the BRIGHT GREEN "SET" sign, and decided today was the day to follow the trail. Interestingly enough, it followed RIGHT to their playground, only a different route.

They saw the crew first, and then as they approached they saw a scene from Law & Order: Criminal Intent being shot with Chris Noth. They only watched for a few minutes, and then decided to play. Inside the gates of the playground/park was the wardrobe peops, some day players and the Kraft Services Table. It was coned off well so that no little hands would snag any cheese or fruit.

It's pretty easy to stumble upon a scene from one of the 147 Law & Order Shows out there, walking on the streets of NYC, but when it's at your own playground, that's pretty cool. Just another reason why she loves living in NYC.

The latest one I saw was Bourne Ultimatum....Joan Allen and Matt Damon were on 38th St. near times square.

I also saw the remnants of a Will Smith movie, meaning, I met 3 different girls that were tall, skinny, beautiful and had shaved heads...for a movie that was shot last summer...

A few months after we moved we saw the crew for RESCUE ME setting up down the street, but the actors weren't there yet.

Then of course the occasional Law and Order and student film....but other than that, not too much.
