Fire Photo

The smoke is billowing right into our heater unit. My hair smelled like I had been sitting near a campfire for hours...

That's so scary! Did someone's Christmas tree catch on fire or something? So sad for whoever lived there. I'm glad you, your family, and your condo were safe!

This whole thing is terrifying...I'm so glad that you are OK but I keep thinking about who lived in that apartment that burned...how are they???

We didn't see anyone exit the building, no one was rescued or evacuated. So, maybe EVERYONE was out for the holiday, or had run out JUST before we got to our observation place. there were no ambulances. Today there are two sets of windows boarded up, so maybe only two apartments were destroyed, but I don't know that the building is inhabitable...I mean even our building is still reeking pretty bad 24 hours later...Big Sis described 2008's Christmas as UNUSUAL
