What do you do in the summertime when the allergy index is at a high 9.7?

Spend the entire day at Central Park of course.

Thank goodness for Claritin, Singulair and Verimyst.

We went to see some new Central Park Sights yesterday, starting with the 3 Bears Statue on the East Side and 77th street. We stopped by Turtle Pond, Belvedere Castle, Swedish Marionette Cottage, and then according to my new iphone GPS, walked 1.1 miles to our favorite Heckscher Playground. I swear, it was easier to find Heckscher on the iphone then on the internet. The girls loved watching our blue dot progress from one point to the next.

On our walk in the QUIET ZONE around Shakespeare Garden, we saw beautiful vegetation and a picture-perfect butterfly.

Our picnic was on a nearby rock, and we sat there without anyone disturbing us for hours. The weather was perfection and the kids loved climbing the rocks hiding their ponies and then finding them again. We even dropped off a book for our 4th bookcrossing release.

We were exploring Central Park for over 6 hours. It was the perfect was to spend one of our last days before school begins.

Love this place. It's where Zack proposed. Ah, love. Ah, castles! The girls look darling.
